Abstract
The LGBTQ+ community has became part of society. The study aimed to analyze
parental acceptance of LGBT Parents. Acceptance of LGBT adolescents by their parents was
critical to understanding the teenager's perception of minority stress and the way the teenager
was likely to cope with the stress. Acceptance and support from parents are key protective
factors. Providers might assist families in adapting and altering behaviors that their LGBT child
views as accepting in favor of supportive and welcoming behaviors, reducing risk and improving
health outcomes for LGBT adolescents and young adults. The researcher would have nine
participants from Manuel S. Enverga University, who would be chosen at various levels and courses. Results shows that the researcher would utilized qualitative researched to met the
objectives of this studied. In ordered to clarified the various aspects of being LGBT, confirmed
the authenticity of the results, and provided more detailed information. This fell under the

uncover new facts and meant, described, and document new generalizations, and in this case, to
identified the impacts. The study's primary goal was to learn about their perspectives on the
effects of parental acceptance on LGBT people.
A qualitative descriptive design may have been deemed most appropriate because it
recognized the subjective nature of the problem and the various experiences participants had and
presented the findings in a way that directly reflected or closely resembled the terminology used
in the initial research questions (Bradshaw et al., 2017).
The researcher would used a semi-structured interview to determined and described the
impacts of parental acceptance on LGBT individuals. More in-depth answered would have
gathered from the selected participants through the used of an interview guided. Since the study
was in the formed of qualitative research, the interviewer allowed to not be too strict about
followed the listed of questioned. The participants would also be free to expressed their views on
their owned terms.
Coming out to parents and other important people in their lives may have a big impact on
LGBT individuals. Parental support was an important protective factor for LGBT individuals
because it allowed them to establish their identities, formed peer and romantic relationships, and
defined their beliefs independently of their parents. Positive parental attitudes toward their
children may help prevent young people from developing mental health issues. Parents should have strong views about their children based on the degree of "secured attachment" in the parentchild relationship. Parental support for LGBT adolescents is associated with academic
achievement, improved self-esteem, academic performance, school retention, and attendance.
The concepts of attachment and social support are also protective factors. Moreover, the results
were utilized in conceptualizing and developing a program that would help the LGBT
individuals. The Coming out of the closet program is a psycho-educational support program for
LGBT people that aims to increase support networks, boost self-esteem, improve communication
skills, reduce physical and emotional disparities between LGBT and non-LGBT people, and
promote a positive and healthy transition during the coming out process.
