The Effect of Military Operation in Macalelon, Quezon as Perceived by the Residents

Abstract
The purpose of this quantitative study is to investigate the effects and reactions
of people being caught up in the clashes between NPA and the military in Macalelon,
Quezon. It included 40 respondents from selected citizens and LGU officials in
Macalelon, Quezon who were chosen using a random sampling technique. This study
used a descriptive evaluate method; data were gathered using a close-ended
questionnaire for an in-depth survey; the weighted mean formula and mean formula
were utilized to testify an explicit interpretation of the result and effect of clashes of NPA
and military in Macalelon Quezon. It showed that they have deployed the military in the
area to prevent the disturbance and prevent the increase of the number of NPA and to
have peace and order in the area. Thus, the result of this study recommends that LGU
Macalelon, Quezon officials improve the protocol and policies and monitor citizens to
see if they are following the implemented protocols to make them more effective and
efficient in avoiding clashes between NPA and military government troops and that LGU
officials continue alternative programs for those who affected of conflict and other
effective protocol to maintain better peace and order
