Completed2022

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the extent of safety of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel assigned in contact tracing exposed to security issues in Pagbilao, Quezon, as a basis for a capacity-building training program. A descriptive survey design was utilized using a purposive sampling technique. Ten (10) BFP personnel were selected as the respondents of the study. The researchers utilized a researcher-made survey tool which was validated by experts in the field of safety and security management. Firefighters are known for dedicating their lives to the fire service, working 24-hour shifts, and responding to fires and explosions, automobile accidents, and medical emergencies Being a firefighter encountered different aspects in their lives. Sometimes they prioritized the safety of the community and the citizens rather than their safety. The truth is their life is not as easy as the general public wants to think it is. That is why we should be proud of our firefighters because just like police, and AFP they are also willing to put their lives on the line, to serve the country and to protect the citizens.
