Completed2023

Abstract

The study aimed to know the challenges of Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) Students in the Implementation of HyFlex Learning Modalities. Moreover, it sought to answer the following specific question: what the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, and year is; what the perceptions of BLIS students in the Implementation of HyFlex Learning are, and what are the challenges experienced by BLIS students in terms of Connectivity, Technology, Instructions, and On-ground Class participation and attendance. The study was conducted at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, and the total number of respondents was twenty-one (21). The study utilized the descriptive method, it is digitally distributed the set of questions to the selected respondents using google forms, The statistical treatment used in the study were percentage and weighted mean, The researcher used a three-part structured type of questioners to further understand the challenges of BLIS students in the implementation of HyFlex learning mode. According to the perceptions of BLIS students in HyFlex learning, the majority of respondents strongly concur that the instructors used a variety of methods to share course content. They also felt that the course was structured so that they could understand it and that the learning management system was effectively used to deliver course material. The difficulties that students have met in the implementation of HyFlex learning modalities are in connecting with teachers and, regularly, joining online classrooms. Respondents suffered from eye/headache problems because of digital strain, and they are also distracted because of hardware failure and software bugs. For Instructions, some of the respondents had difficulty focusing on the online learning instructions to meet the course content. Finally, in terms of on-ground class participation and attendance, some students who live outside of Lucena missed on-ground sessions and were not fully prepared for the system of on-ground during HyFlex Learning mode. Despite this, most responders are willing to continue studying HyFlex because it saves time, money, and effort. And as a result, the researcher comes up with an Infographic output that composes Students' Tips for Succeeding in the Challenges in the implementation of HyFlex learning modalities that will serve as a coping mechanism guide for BLIS students.
