Abstract

The study focused on the Factors affecting the Speech Delivery of Grade 10 Students in Flexible Learning Modalities in the Division Of Lucena City. The frequent problems encountered in this research study are the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of their Age, Sex, Monthly Family Income, Level of Internet Accessibility, Internet Devices, and Flexible Learning Modes. The factors frequently affecting the Speech Delivery of the students, The verbal components that affect the students in delivering their speech, and lastly, The challenges encountered by the Grade 10 students in delivering speeches. The researcher used the quantitative descriptive research design. The study used a purely quantitative method to gather data from the students. The quantitative data was gathered using survey questionnaires among students. Further, the researcher used the Weighted Mean in determining the factors affecting the speech delivery of the students. The researcher conducted the study in a well-known Autonomous University in Quezon Province. The research instrument that the researcher used is a survey questionnaire for the students to answer and used the five-point Likert scale. The research questionnaires were made in Google Forms. This study concluded that the majority of young people especially females are experiencing fear of public speaking. People who are experiencing Fear of Public Speaking may result of being diagnosed with anxiety. It revealed also that they find difficulty in expressing such emotion when they feel extremely nervous. The researcher recommended it to individuals experiencing this situation.
