Utilization and Effectiveness of Close Monitoring Approach in Teaching Cultural Dance to the Selected Grade 12 Students in the Division of Quezon in Flexible Learning

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to know the Utilization and Effectiveness of the Close Monitoring Approach in Teaching Cultural Dance to Selected Grade 12 students. Specifically, this research aims to determine the Effectiveness of Close Monitoring and Perception of the teachers and Factors that are affecting the performance in teaching cultural dance using close monitoring approach in the Selected Grade 12 Students in the Division of Quezon in Flexible learning using Slovin’s formula. This research employed a quantitative type of approach and used a survey questionnaire as its tool for gathering the data relevant to the study Furthermore, the research reveals that: most of the respondents are within the age bracket 21-30 years old, Female, and earned Bachelor’s Degree as their current highest educational attainment; the Majority of the respondents strongly agreed that there is a significant relationship between teacher’s close monitoring approach and student’s achievements. Also, the majority strongly agreed that Close monitoring provides a powerful tool that can help them adjust instruction to ensure that students reach high standards. Aside from that, the majority strongly agreed that Fast/slow internet connection affected the teacher’s performance in teaching cultural dance while using close monitoring as an approach. This researcher recommends that: Physical Education teachers, regardless of age, sex, educational attainment, and experience must utilize better and continue using the Close Monitoring Approach, and to train, create and attend seminars in using Close Monitoring Approach; schools must do programs, activities, which will raise awareness with the perceived advantages Close Monitoring Approach. Using the findings of this study, the researcher developed an Action Plan which includes Webinars, and other activities promoting the Utilization and Effectiveness of a Close Monitoring Approach in Teaching Cultural Dance.
