Perceptions of Grade 12 Learners Towards Flexible Learning Activities in Basketball

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptions of the learners towards flexible learning activities in basketball among the selected grade 12 students of Quezon National High School during the school year 2022-2023. To address this aim, 269 respondents from the Quezon National High School were distributing research questionnaires thru google forms. To determine the impact of the new modality of teaching to the students whether it is positive or negative and what are the challenges of the students they encountered in the time of pandemic that they are studying in basketball activities. We all know that basketball sport it is burdensome to do online, especially if the student does not have space at home. Here we become acquainted with the students and how they managed to pass what they did in online classes. The study employed a quantitative descriptive design. The respondents of the study are the grade 12 senior high public school students who studied in the Division of Quezon. They are 269 respondents and conducted in distributing questionnaires and Google forms and they are selected using simple random sampling. This is a huge amount of number than other Public High Schools in Quezon Province a total amount of 1,140 students and 26 sections. The study revealed that grade 12 learners were baneful toward flexible learning activities in basketball and they preferred actual performance in basketball and not online that caused of negative impact on the learners. However, the students passed because of the helped of their parents to succor them in recording a video about basketball and the necessary equipment for the students. They learned to save on their allowances to buy basketball equipment to have props answering and recording basketball activities.
