Level of Satisfaction of Parents and Grade 5 Learners in Modular Learning in Selected Public Schools in Real, Quezon
Area of Research
Abstract
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school's Modular Learning engagement
of parents and students has been halted. This pandemic has paved the way for the
immediate implementation of Modular Distance Learning to ensure educational
continuity. At the moment, the DepEd is adjusting to the new normal of education.
The primary goal of this research is to learn about the satisfaction, challenges, and
strategies of parents and students. These challenges, opinions, and
recommendations were quantified through a survey of 50 respondents at a specific
school in Real, Quezon. Weighted mean was used to interpret the data. The main
issues that emerged were a lack of school funding for module production and
delivery, students struggling with self-study, and parents lacking the knowledge to
academically guide their child/children. The findings of this study could be used to
improve existing guidelines for Modular Distance Learning implementations in the
future.
