Cybersecurity Awareness: Animated Infomercial on Fighting Cybercrime and Misinformation for the Youth
Area of Research
Abstract
Over the years, many teenagers have freedom to do whatever they want, especially
when using their devices. Most of the youth these days are focused on the internet, because
the internet can do anything for them, browsing for assignments, chatting with friends, and
playing games. They may be teens but most of them are not mature enough to handle any
situation or danger that they might encounter. This study aims to develop three animated
shorts about potential cybersecurity attacks for young teenagers as its target audience. The
animation was developed by making the 2D characters in Clip Studio Paint Pro and the 3D
background is made in Blender and are then merged using Adobe After Effects and
Premiere Pro. After creating the animation, it was then deployed to its intended audience
to be evaluated. The respondents resulted to them strongly agreeing to the quality of the
animation in terms of the content, visual design, audio, text, and the animation itself.
