AgriKOnnect: A Web and Mobile E-Commerce System for Farmers, Consumers, and Agricultural Organization
Area of Research
Abstract
Middlemen is part of the reasons why we experience high prices, because of high
costs of trucking and moving of agricultural products from one place to another. To reduce
the middlemen and additional charges of our agricultural products, this study aimed to
create a web and mobile application that can be used to give farmers/sellers the ability to
sell their produce directly to consumers and take advantage of the information technology
and make use of e-commerce in doing so. The main objective of this study is to create an
application to be able for farmers/sellers to post their agricultural products such as fruits
and vegetables and deliver their products directly to their customers. While for the
customers, this is to be able to buy agricultural products online and receive their orders on
their doorsteps. In creating the application, the researchers used agile-scrum approach. The
application went through different testing such as Blackbox testing for software testing and
yielded a result of 100% meaning the application qualified on the given conditions. The application also satisfied the criteria of ISO 25010 with a weighted mean of 4.11 and 4.12
for web and mobile application consecutively.
