Study on the Effects of Family Structure on Crime Commission

Abstract
Inside the Philippines, criminality can be traced to a variety of social causes; however, authorities refer to joblessness as the main impetus for people to break the law, in addition to other socioeconomic factors. When one considers that a substantial number of criminal offenses involve theft and robbery, this assumption is not too far from the truth. On the other hand, a person's troubled connections with one's parents, which can lead to traumatic events at home, maybe one of the additional factors that lead them to break the law. A certain number of adolescents in the Philippines are exposed to psychological trauma in the sense of their households. This study determined the effects of family structure on crime commission. Based on the findings, it is clear that family structure has a significant influence on the commission of the crime; the average weighted mean for this study was 4.21, and the respondents who were aware of the aforementioned statements contributed significantly.
