A Correlational Study: Perceived Factors Affecting the Board Performance of BSA Graduates in a University in Lucena City

Abstract
The graduates of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy take the next move towards a successful career which is to take the licensure examination, as it serves as one of the steps to practice the chosen profession and the key to better opportunities. The preparation for that
takes a huge part in the performance of each examinee as the examination needs profound mastery of every concept and its application. With this, this study sought to determine the factors affecting the board performance of BSA graduates in a university in Lucena City and the relationship between the factors and the actual board performance of the respondents. The study used a stratified sampling technique in selecting the respondents. The respondents of the study were limited to the perception of 113 graduates of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation who took their first licensure examination for Certified Public Accountants from October 2015 to October 2019. The study used an online survey questionnaire and the results were analyzed using frequency count, percentage, weighted mean, Likert scale, and multiple correlation analysis. The study resulted in having a significant relationship between the internal factors and actual board performance and the external factors and actual board performance. Furthermore, it is recommended to take into consideration the perceived factors affecting the board performance to be able to improve future board performances.
