Vibration Controlled Electronic Door Lock System
Area of Research
Abstract
In a society, one of the main necessities of all households is security especially in the
state of the third world country is at today where numerous ways of cases of breaking and
entering households have been reported, some quite unfathomable and elusive but these robbers
still managed to do. This is where the goal of this study arises, to provide people a system that is
capable of securing their homes efficiently and with reliability.
The method used in this study was Research and Development for the purpose of
dignifying the field of Engineering. To research an existing study, if there are, and develop or
innovate them into an improved, technologically upgraded system.
This study consists of an RF transmitter circuit wherein the Arduino Nano, 4x3 matrix
keypad, and the vibration motor are interconnected in the remote. And an RF receiver circuit
wherein the other Arduino Nano, piezoelectric sensor, and electromagnetic lock are
interconnected in the main circuit. All of which are necessary to build an electronic security
system.
The Vibration Controlled Electronic Door Lock System’s prototype testing had turned
out successful in security after the trial-and-error done by the researchers and a survey conducted
where most of the respondents have agreed that it is functional, reliable, and effective in
achieving its purpose.
