Workplace-Related Challenges and Its Effects on Police Officers’ Well-Being

Abstract
The study is conducted specifically to determine the workplace-related
challenges experienced by the police officers of Lucena City in terms of personal and
organizational challenges and how the challenges affected their mental and physical
well-being. The researchers used a descriptive type of research applying quantitative
method. Sets of self-structured survey questionnaire was given to fifty (50) police
officers of Lucena City. Moreover, the gathered data were grouped and analyzed using
frequency, percentage, and weighted mean. The results of the study showed that
majority of the respondents are male that belongs to the age group of 21-25 years old.
Moreover. It was found out that majority of the respondents are Patrolman/Patrolwoman
that are in 1-5 years in service. The results also showed that the respondents were
moderately challenged on the stated personal and organizational challenges, and were
moderately affected mentally and physicall
