WeConnect: A Proposed Secure File-Sharing System for an Elementary School in Macalelon, Quezon

Completed2021

Abstract

When the pandemic started, people were frightened to go outside because of the possibilities that might happen. However, some people need to go outside their comfort zones and do their job. Macalelon Central Elementary School employees are tasked to submit files regarding the students' records and other necessary documents weekly, monthly, and quarterly. These files are considered confidential because these are composed of the students’ sensitive information and also the data about the teachers and the school itself. The employees' main problem is traveling from one office to another and personally submitting the files weekly, monthly, and quarterly. With this, the main objective of this project was to help the said beneficiaries to transfer the necessary files easily and to ensure the safety of the files by implementing the WeConnect. This file-transferring system will allow the school and its employees to share and transfer their files efficiently. The proponents decided to use the Agile Methodology since this method is the most suitable way to build this system. The study reveals the conciseness of the processes that the employees of the target school do in how they transfer data from one place to another by evaluating the system. The study meets the conditions in the ISO 25010 – Software Product Quality criteria with an average of 4.53 as the highest for Security and 3.8 as the lowest for Compatibility.
