Abstract

The study is to find out The Factors Affecting the SPED Teachers in Handling Students with Special Educational Needs. Specifically, it seeks to answer the following: What is the demographic profile of the SPED Teachers respondents in Quezon in terms of: Age, Sex, Civil Status and Highest Educational Attainment. What are the factors affecting the SPED Teachers in handling students with special educational needs in terms of: Learning and Intellectual Factors, Mental and Physical Factors, and Social and Emotional Factors? What are the problems encountered by SPED Teachers in handling students with special educational needs? The study used descriptive method of research by utilizing interpretation of data collected and reviewing the literature. The questionnaire was used as the main data gathering instrument of this study. The questionnaire includes the learning and intellectual factors, mental and physical factors, emotional factors, and social factors. The survey was explored the respondents in factors affecting the SPED Teachers in handling students with special educational needs. Afterwards, transcription of the surveys and analysis of result of the study when using quantitative method. Analyzing and interpretation of gathered data will follow.
