The Relevance of Parent-Teacher Association in the New Normal Education

Abstract

The aim of this study was to establish the parent-teacher association's current practices at Public Elementary School in Quezon. Its goal was to establish parent-teacher relationships that determined the appropriateness, necessity, and usefulness of a positive relationship between parent and teacher. In this analysis, the descriptive research approach was used. Thirty-five (35) respondents were among the study's participants. The positive relationship between parent and teacher was determined using the weighted mean method. Questionnaires, interviews, and focus group conversations were used to collect quantitative data. It was decided to establish a PTA for teacher and parent activities. The proposed PTA would be fascinating and beneficial to undertake for parent-teacher partnership in order to have a healthy home-school relationship, it was concluded. Furthermore, the proposed will assist parents and teachers in having a healthy home-school partnership. Based on the gathered data, these following findings were revealed: A PTA was developed. The PTA for parent and teacher are generally acceptable in terms of appropriateness of PTA. It was determined that the PTA is a fun and successful tool to strengthen parent-teacher ties and increase parents' and teachers' home-school interactions. The PTA can also help parents and teachers build a better home-school relationship. Parenting classes should be needed before parents and teachers can have a successful connection or partnership, in my opinion, which has been and continues to be my advice. And that this education should continue, assisting parents in coping with life's challenges.
