Abstract

The main purposed of this study is to found out the effectiveness of Localized materials during teaching-learning process in Mathematics Subject. In terms of designing effective Localized Materials, the researcher implements training or seminar about the importance of the Use of Localized Materials and how teachers can lessen the cost of the instructional materials that will use in teaching-learning process. The researchers used the descriptive method of research, and limited of thirty (30) respondents from the West District School in Lucena City, the data gathered in conducted surveys. The researcher found out that based on the outcomes; majority of the respondents age are 31-40 years old. In term of highest educational attainment, most of the respondents are graduated as bachelor’s degree. Most of the teachers used Popsicle Stick and Play Money in teaching mathematics. Among the Effectiveness of Localized Materials in teaching Basic operations in Mathematics indicated, stimulate pupils’ interest towards learning basic operations, this indicated that Localized materials help teachers delivered the lesson effectively. The researcher suggests to the respective administrator, to empower teachers in order to improve the teaching learning process and to ensure that Pupil has improvement.
