Abstract

This research revealed the factors affecting the academic performance of Grade 6 pupils in flexible learning in San Narciso, Quezon. Descriptive method was used to acquire the data needed using quantitative approach. The research had the idea and method that most appropriate approach in conducting this kind of research. The researcher found out that based on the findings; majority of the respondents were female and the lowest general average was 75-79%. Meanwhile, 2000 above is the highest weekly family income and parents’ educational attainment is mostly a college graduate. The result in the findings indicates that there are factors towards flexible learning specifically in modular and the effects are also revealed based on their experienced in flexible learning. The researcher recommends this to Teachers to use appropriate and easy to understand instructions to avoid confusion to the learner. The Local Government Unit or LGU to address the issue regarding to the unstable internet connection since it is one of the factors that hinder the capability of students in flexible learning. To the students to make more time and double their effort in answering modules that are assigned to them for the learning to be instilled effectively even if they can set their own schedule. And to the future researchers, they may use the data of this study to come up with a bigger and wider spectrum about flexible learning. The researcher proposed Action Plan on Intervention for students to cope up with the new mode of learning. This not only benefits the student’s learning but also the teachers in a way that it makes explanations easier and accessible.
