Development of Dragon Fruit and Bignay Food Products: Basis for a Proposed Livelihood Program

Abstract
This study intends to develop a food product out of bignay and dragon fruit that will be used for a sustainable livelihood program proposal that will be beneficial for the dragon fruit and bignay farmers and small communities in Quezon Province specifically in Lucena City. Quantitative method for research and development will be used in this study. The respondents of the study will be chosen using purposive sampling techniques. Quantitative approach will be used through statistical methods such as Frequency count, weighted mean and standard deviation. The survey form will be distributed online. The respondents will be culinary experts such as chefs, cooks and bakers in Lucena City, Quezon Province where most of them reside and the primary location of dragon fruit and bignay plantations.
