Abstract

Tourism plays an important role as a catalyst for socio-economic growth and a source of national pride. Quezon province, one of the provinces in CALABARZON has unique tourism that made the tourists visit the province anytime and experience an overall agglomeration of activities, services, and involved sectors that make up the unique tourist experience. In strengthening the Quezon’s Tourism Industry, the study entitled “An Evaluative Analysis on the Impact of The Tourism Act of 2009 (RA 9593) on Quezon's Tourism as Perceived by the Selected Employees in Municipal Tourism Offices in 2nd Congressional District, Quezon Province” aims to evaluate the Tourism Act on Quezon’s Tourism. The study used a descriptive - evaluative approach to evaluate the utilization of Republic Act 9593, also known as “The Tourism Act of 2009”, in Quezon's Tourism as perceived by the selected employees of the Municipal Tourism Offices of the 2nd Congressional District of Quezon Province. This study is pursued in a qualitative manner wherein qualitative data was derived from the results of the survey. The researchers conducted an online interview with the selected participants using homogenous sampling. To set the parameter, the researchers will limit the scope of the study by subjecting only selected employees of the Department of Tourism in the 2nd congressional district of Quezon Province. The study has shown that the R.A. 9593 or Tourism Act of 2009 is effective and relevant as it serves as a basis and foundation of every municipality when it comes to planning and decision making.
