Development of Analytics Solution for Crime Monitoring: Lucena City as Model

Abstract

The study aimed to develop an analytics solution for crime monitoring in Lucena City. Through descriptive analytics, the recorded data from the past which includes how the crime happened, when the crime transpired, where the crime scene took place, what transpired on the crime scene and who are the people involved will be generated through a summarized report. The study also aimed to develop a crime recording web-based criminal record system for the person in charge to input the crime records from the police. Another feature of the proposed solution is that the content is viewable by the public, informing the latter on the level of crime in a specific zone. The result of the study produced a descriptive analytics report that showed graphical representation of crime rates for each barangay in different categories.
