Enverga Wildcats roar with 54 golds, 122 silvers, 47 bronzes at Reg'l PRISAA '26

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) Wildcat athletes from the college and basic education levels won a combined 223 medals in the Regional PRISAA 2026 held in San Pablo City, Laguna, from March 19 to 22, delivering 54 gold, 122 silver and 47 bronze medals across multiple sporting events.

Enverga Wildcats posted another strong showing in regional competition after its college and junior athletes collected medals in taekwondo, dancesport, athletics, karatedo, badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming, quiz bee and other events during the four-day meet. The university’s college delegation finished with 26 gold, 71 silver and 14 bronze medals, while the Basic Education Department added 29 gold, 51 silver and 33 bronze medals for the final 223-medal haul.

The university also reached the podium in team sports. MSEUF finished first runner-up in basketball for both men’s and boys’ divisions to earn silver medals, while the men’s volleyball team secured a bronze medal. In the pageant competition, MSEUF Main placed first runner-up in Mutya ng PRISAA, while MSEUF Candelaria claimed second runner-up honors.

The Enverga Wildcats Taekwondo Team delivered one of the university’s biggest contributions to the medal tally. Julius Frank Tano led the medalists with two golds and one silver, while John Winson Cusi earned one gold and two silvers. Duane Yzekiel Rosales, Faye Venice Victoria and Juliana Sandra Nayo also added gold medals for the team, while several other Wildcats placed in the silver and bronze medal rounds under coach Shiela Tarray.

MSEUF also dominated the dancesport competition. Carl Jeffrey Desamiro and Krissom Ariem Palima swept the Latin events by winning first place in solo samba, solo chachacha, solo rumba, solo paso doble, solo jive and Grade A Latin. Fillip Zander Hernandez and Precious Jewel Manalo placed second in solo slow waltz, solo tango, solo Viennese waltz, solo foxtrot, solo quickstep and Grade A Standard, while Jefferson Mark Reyes and Kim Irish Zoleta also took second place in the Latin events and Grade A Latin. Overall, the MSEUF dancesport team collected 12 gold and 24 silver medals.

In athletics, the university recorded 3 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals in the men’s and women’s divisions. Mark Ivan Regidor won gold in javelin, Sheika Mandigma topped the triple jump, and Bana JC Ann ruled the 5,000-meter run. Other medalists in athletics included Romeo Carmona, Keith Albuero, Luke Lhiane Salamante, Cedrick De Las Alas and Danez Kristell Ann.

MSEUF athletes also delivered in other individual sports. Mike Andrei Gomez won gold in karatedo men, while Mico Manalo took silver and Jenuario Cedeño earned bronze. In badminton, Henrian May Ellaga and Samantha Treshyl Quinsanos captured silver in senior women’s doubles. In table tennis, Joanna Rhaine Fedelino won gold in women’s singles A, while Josh Marasigan and Gabriel Ravanzo, Sophia Beloso and JM Beloso, Frances Gian Ang, and Gereighn Fahme Baldovino and Bea Hardin added more medals for the university.

The Basic Education Department also boosted the university’s finish with medals in Brain Master Quiz Bee, PRISAAYAWAN, tennis doubles boys, badminton mixed doubles, basketball, swimming, taekwondo, athletics, dancesport, beach volleyball, volleyball girls and Mutya ng PRISAA. Among the junior team’s top finishes were gold-medal efforts in basketball 3x3 girls, swimming and dancesports Latin.

The Regional PRISAA 2026 results reflected MSEUF’s depth in athletics and its steady commitment to building competitive, disciplined and high-performing student-athletes across different levels of education.
