Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation conducted its first installation of career marketing and orientation series in Mauban, gathering students, parents, and educators from public schools at the Mauban Municipal Gymnasium, on Jan. 16.

The activity brought together participating schools from the North and South Districts of Mauban, with Grade 6 students as the primary participants, accompanied by their parents and faculty-in-charge. It aimed to introduce academic pathways and learning opportunities offered by Enverga University, particularly under its Basic Education Department (BED) based in Lucena City, for Junior High School and Senior High School.

The career marketing also served as a platform to formally present the soon-to-open Enverga University Mauban Extension, which will offer Junior High School, Senior High School, and selected college programs. The new campus is expected to expand access to quality Envergan education in the northern part of Quezon province.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Celso D. Jaballa, Vice President for External Relations, who emphasized the University’s commitment to bringing education closer to communities. An overview of the Mauban Extension followed, delivered by Dr. Amelita Balagtas, Coordinator of Affiliate Schools, highlighting the campus vision, academic offerings, and long-term development plans.

Scholarships and student opportunities were discussed by Reina V. Pasumbal, principal of the Basic Education Department, underscoring the University’s support for deserving and high-performing learners. Admission and enrollment details, including the planned open house and campus tour for BED, were presented by Andrea Nicole Medalla-Saberola of the BED Guidance and Admissions Office.

The activity concluded with closing messages from Atty. Ben Quiling, a proud Maubanin and University trustee, and Atty. Dario Opistan, Vice President for Administration, who both encouraged students and parents to consider Enverga University as a long-term partner in their educational journey.

John Kristoffer Tibor, faculty member from the College of Arts and Sciences; Bya Montserrat, Miss Enverga University 2024; and Anthony Ramos of the Basic Education Department and a fellow Maubanin, hosted the program, where their engaging facilitation helped create an interactive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the event.

An intermission performance by the University’s Basic Education Dance Troupe added energy to the program and showcased the talents of Enverga’s young performers.

The career marketing and orientation was organized by the Institutional Marketing and Promotions Office, headed by Mark Gaylord Genovaña, in coordination with key academic and administrative units. Also present were Leah Salas, corporate planning and development officer, and Arby Lagman, director of the Sustainability Department, highlighting the University’s unified support for outreach, planning, and sustainable community engagement, all under the visionary leadership of Chairman/CEO Wilfrido Enverga and President/COO Naila Leveriza.

This initiative reflected Enverga University’s commitment to Service and Excellence by proactively engaging communities and expanding access to quality education. It also reinforced the University’s vision of holistic and student-centered learning through early career guidance and informed academic choices.
