BED holds ‘I HEART eU’ campus hunt to promote values
The Guidance Office of the Basic Education Department of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation conducted the “I HEART eU: The Heart Hunt Activity” on Feb. 12, to celebrate Valentine’s season while promoting positive values and camaraderie among students.
The campus-wide activity formed part of the school’s values formation initiative and highlighted the HEART principles—Hope, Empathy, Acceptance, Respect and Trust.
Before the activity began, organizers placed heart-shaped cut-outs around the campus. Some hearts contained dates written on the back, prompting students who found them to locate other participants with matching dates and form groups.
Once students completed their groups, they proceeded to the designated claiming area to receive prizes.
Organizers said the mechanics encouraged teamwork, communication and interaction among learners from different grade levels. The activity also created opportunities for students to build new friendships and practice inclusivity.
“The goal was to reinforce positive values through a simple but meaningful activity that brings students together,” a guidance staff member said.
The excitement of the hunt energized the campus and drew enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members. Through the Heart Hunt Activity, the school reinforced the importance of kindness, cooperation and emotional well-being in the learning community.
The activity reflected the University’s core values of Unity, Mindfulness and Service by promoting empathy, respect and cooperation among learners. It also supported holistic and student-centered education by integrating values formation into engaging campus activities.
