MSEUF joins global SDG Accord to scale sustainability action

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation became an official signatory of the SDG Accord, committing the University to embed the UN Sustainable Development Goals across teaching, research, operations and outreach through curriculum integration, staff engagement and public reporting.

EAUC, the Accord’s secretariat, issued a Certificate of Recognition to MSEUF and welcomed the University to the higher education coalition that advances the SDGs.

“We are delighted to see that Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation is now a signatory of the SDG Accord,” the EAUC notice said, adding that the sector can “help create the next generation of change agents.”

By signing, MSEUF set a work plan that aligned campus practices with the goals and documented outcomes annually for sharing with peer institutions at the UN High-Level Political Forum.

The commitment encourages faculty to integrate SDG-linked assessments, drives operations to reduce waste and energy use, and expands community partnerships on resilience and livelihoods. Offices will gather data, set targets and publish progress to strengthen transparency and accountability.

This development advanced MSEUF’s mission to produce competent, socially responsible graduates and supported its vision to lead regional development through responsive education and community service. It reflected the core values of Mindfulness in stewarding resources, Service to communities, Excellence in scholarship and practice, Unity through partnerships, and Fortitude in sustaining long-term impact while reinforcing student-centered, outcomes-oriented and transformative learning.
