MSEUF administrators present 5 research at HCU Thailand international conference

Administrators from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) presented five research studies at the 12th HCU National and International Conference hosted by Hua Chiew Chalermprakiet University in Thailand, Jul. 30-31.

The conference, which marked the 50th anniversary of Thailand–China diplomatic relations, brought together researchers and educators from Asia to discuss developments in education and innovation. MSEUF participants focused on internationalization, instructional innovation, and lifelong learning in higher education.

Dr. Jennifer Reyes and on behalf of Asst. Prof. Carell Untalan presented the paper, Maximizing Synergies for Enhanced University Footprint (MSEUF): An Internationalization Program. The study proposed strategies for expanding MSEUF’s global academic network.

“Internationalization is a strategic direction that aligns with our University’s goal to become globally competitive,”  Dr. Reyes emphasized.

Assoc. Prof. Leah Salas, on behalf of her co-authors Dr. Benilda Villenas, and Dr. Felixberto Mercado presented the study Development and Usability of Interactive Multimedia-based Learning Modules in Teaching Technical Writing, which aimed to improve instructional delivery for engineering and IT students.

“This approach addresses the need for accessible and engaging learning resources,” Assoc. Prof. Salas highlighted.

Dr. Mercado also presented the study Workplace Learning as the Nexus of Lifelong Learning Activities of Selected HEI Teachers in Region IV. Co-authored by Dr. Villenas, the study examined how workplace settings contribute to continuous professional development.

 “We must view the workplace as a space where learning never stops,” Dr. Mercado shared.

Engr. Roselyn Maaño presented the research Development and Usability Evaluation of an Interactive Multimedia Learning Module for Kinematics, co-authored by Dr. Ronaldo Maaño, Dr. Divinia C. Glifonea, and Jericho  Gutierrez. 

Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala on behalf of her co-author, Dr. Mercado presented the study Development and Validation of Interactive Multimedia Learning Modules for Academic Writing, which explored the effectiveness of digital modules in supporting student-centered writing instruction. “

Interactive tools can empower students to take ownership of their learning,” Dr. Ayala emphasized,

MSEUF’s participation in the conference reflects its mission to advance instruction, research, and community service. The presentations also aligned with the university’s core values of excellence and service, as well as its educational philosophy of nurturing professionalism, leadership, and knowledge.
