Enverga University, UST sign MOA for Master of Laws program in Quezon

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation – Enverga Law School and the University of Santo Tomas – Graduate School of Law formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the offering of the Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program in Quezon Province, Nov. 13.
Present at the signing were Hon. Jason Barlis, Chair of the Legal Education Board; Rev. Fr. Dexter Austria, O.P., STHD, Regent of the UST Graduate School of Law; and Atty. Jacqueline Lopez-Kaw, DCL, Dean of the UST Graduate School of Law. Joining virtually via Zoom were Atty. Rey Oliver Alejandrino, DCL, Dean of the Enverga Law School, and Atty. Dario Opistan, CPA, Vice President for Administration of MSEUF. The program was facilitated by Asst. Prof. Leidy Mauy Alnajez, LPT, MA.
The partnership marks a step in expanding access to advanced legal education outside Metro Manila.
Dr. Alejandrino highlighted the significance of the LL.M. program in strengthening legal practice and instruction in the region.
“The LL.M. program will certainly make them more competent in the practice of the legal profession, which includes teaching in the academe as envisioned by the Legal Education Board. This will be offered and implemented by the University of Santo Tomas Graduate School of Law, while the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation School of Law shall assist in the recruitment of students into the program,” Dr. Alejandrino said.
Atty. Opistan likewise expressed the University’s deep appreciation for the partnership and its long-term value for Quezon Province.
“MSEUF is truly privileged to work alongside UST, an esteemed institution recognized as a cradle of the country's finest legal minds. We look up to UST as a beacon of academic excellence and professional integrity, and we are confident that this partnership will contribute to the continuous elevation of legal education and practice in the province and in the region,” Atty. Opistan said.
The new joint offering aims to make graduate-level legal studies more accessible to professionals and practitioners in Quezon Province, strengthening academic development and legal service in the region.
