Enverga University partners with Shed’s Mushroom Farm; organizes mushroom cultivation training for extension partners

To encourage community partners to explore alternative livelihood opportunities, the Enverga University Community Relations Department (CRD) conducted a mushroom farming orientation-seminar  at the DTYES Alumni Center and Shed’s Mushroom Farm in Sariaya, Oct. 10.

The activity followed the earlier cacao farming seminar and introduced participants to the fundamentals of mushroom cultivation, including substrate preparation, bagging, incubation, and harvesting.

The morning session was held in partnership with Shed’s Mushroom Farm, owned and managed by Haidee Ramirez, who shared her expertise in mushroom production and agripreneurship.

Faculty members, Community Extension Service coordinators, and non-teaching personnel actively participated in both the lecture and field components of the training.

The program aimed to equip participants with practical, sustainable skills that support community-based livelihood initiatives aligned with MSEUF’s extension and development efforts.

The seminar strengthens the University’s commitment to Service and Mindfulness by empowering communities through livelihood education rooted in sustainability. It reflects Unity and Excellence as MSEUF collaborates with local agripreneurs to equip partners with practical skills that foster innovation and self-reliance.
