MSEUF Human Resource Director Dr. Maria Sylvia Avila and OSEJPAR Director Maria Isabel  Granada (3rd and 4th from left) participated in the consultation activity with the academe and industries  from Region IV-A.

The Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) served as one of the validators of the results of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Jobs and Labor Market Forecast in response to the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) request, held at Kasile Hills Nature Resort and Events venue, Cabuyao, Laguna, August 30.

The validation took place before DOLE planned to release the results to stakeholders addressing the job mismatch issue in the country.

The forum focused on connecting the academe and industries for job creation.

DOLE’s FGDs are part of a consultation process with the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) to support the Philippine Development Plan and Ambisyon 2040.

These efforts aim to create jobs and facilitate economic growth through employability programs, support for small and medium enterprises, and skilling initiatives.

The academic sector was urged to collaborate with industries and form strategies to achieve these goals.

Dr. Maria Sylvia S. Avila, Director of the Human Resource Department (HRD), and Director Maria Isabel D. Granada of the Office of Scholarships & Endowment, Job Placement, and Alumni Relations (OSEJPAR) represented MSEUF. Key employment opportunities in CALABARZON were discussed by industries.

Senior Labor and Employment Officer, Mr. Jorge Manuel C. Laude presented the Career  Development Support Program and Ways Forward.
