MSEUF supports DOT’s program; conducts seminar-workshop on 'Filipino Brand of Service Excellence'
The MSEUF Human Resource Department launches its Leadership, Management, and Extension Services Learning Series, featuring the Department of Tourism's (DOT) Flagship Program: the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE).
The FBSE training is designed to instill the core Filipino values into service industries, this initiative aligns with the University's mission to foster a culture of hospitality, profesionalism, and quality service.
The University hosted its first day of FBSE in-house training on Sept. 20 at the Dr. Tobias Y. Enverga Sr. Alumni Hall, with participation from MSEUF administrators, department heads, faculty, and non-teaching staff. The second day of FBSE in-house training is conuducted Sept. 28 at the AEC Little Theatre, focusing on academic support, security, and maintenance personnel.
Lester Uriarte, Operations Officer of the Department of Tourism, facilitated the training, which featured sessions emphasizing customer service, communication skills, and empathy. These sessions encouraged participants to embody the Filipino spirit in their professional endeavors.
Two FBSE-certified trainers, Dr. Jennifer Reyes, OIC of the Office of Special Internationalization Projects, discussed how the training will enhance the global competitiveness of MSEUF by nurturing students, faculty, and staff who champion service marked by warmth, respect, and genuine care. Mr. Niño Magararo, Academic Head of STI College Lucena, also highlighted the importance of Filipino core values, including MakaDiyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan, and Makabansa.
Through this training and collaborative efforts, MSEUF aims to integrate the principles of service excellence into its academic and co-curricular activities, preparing graduates to excel in the country’s tourism and service sectors.
MSEUF’s participation in the FBSE program reinforces its commitment to cultivating a service-oriented culture, ensuring that its community exemplifies the Filipino brand of excellence in every aspect of their work.
