Enverga Law School's CLEP, IBP-Quezon, Rotary Club of Metro Lucena facilitate 'Know Your Rights' seminar

The Enverga Law School's Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) in collaboration with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Quezon, and Rotary Club of Metro Lucena, facilitated a seminar titled "Know Your Rights: Break the silence, end the violence"  at the MSEUF Library Seminar hall, Sept. 14.

The seminar focused on enhancing awareness of legal rights and responsibilities, where more than 150 students under the National  Service Training Program - Civil Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CTWS) participated.

The seminar featured expert presentations on significant legal topics where Atty. Nazareth U. Suarez discussed the Safe Spaces Act and issues surrounding sexual harassment, Atty. Lovella L. Evangelista addressed Violence against Women and Children under RA 9262, and Atty. Christopher P. Juniar covered Basic Civil Rights, emphasizing fundamental liberties and legal protections.

An open forum provided attendees with an opportunity to engage with the speakers and delve deeper into the discussed legal issues.

Atty. Leonel P. Cadiz, Adviser of CLEP at Enverga Law School, stressed the importance of legal education in fostering responsible citizenship in his opening remarks.

Atty. Alwin P. Racelis, Chapter President of IBP Quezon, also delivered a special message, highlighting the collaborative efforts between legal professionals and academia in advancing legal advocacy.

Engr. Robert Jesse A. Razon, Magical President of the Rotary Club of Metro Lucena, delivered a special message message, emphasizing the community's role in upholding legal rights and responsibilities.

The seminar concluded with the awarding of Plaques of Appreciation and Tokens to recognize the contributions of the speakers and organizers. Noela Glaze A. Divino, Class Beadle of CLEP, delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude and encouraging continued engagement in legal education and advocacy.

This seminar not only provided valuable insights into legal issues but also underscored Enverga Law School's commitment to educating future legal professionals and promoting civic responsibility within the community.
