MSEUF welcomes TUP, showcases ETEEAP best practices
Highlighting both institutions' commitment to academic excellence and collaboration in tertiary education, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) hosted a special benchmarking activity with the Technology University of the Philippines (TUP), showcasing MSEUF's Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
Dr. Benilda N. Villenas, MSEUF’s Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academics and Research, presided over the event and delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of benchmarking activities in fostering inter-university cooperation and continuous improvement.
Dr. Kevien Dela Cruz, Director of TUP ETEEAP, representing TUP President Engr. Reynaldo P. Ramos. Dr. Dela Cruz presented the current status of TUP's ETEEAP, laying the foundation for exchanging best practices and innovative ideas.
Key presentations from MSEUF's side provided a comprehensive overview of their ETEEAP framework. Dr. Claudia Odette J. Ayala, Assistant to the Vice President for Academics and Research and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, introduced the program structure. Dean Rodrigo C. Belleza Jr. of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies covered administrative processes and services, including guidance and counseling, research assistance, and Learning Management System (LMS) support. Dr. Flormando P. Baldovino, Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, discussed the challenges faced by the ETEEAP and the innovative solutions implemented. Finally, Engr. Cielito V. Maligalig, Dean of the College of Engineering, shared inspiring success stories of ETEEAP graduates, highlighting the program's impact on career advancement and professional development.
Guests from TUP including Prof. Ghazali Illumina Sison, Director of Academic Programs; Prof. Julius Sareno, Director of University Information Technology Center-TUP; and Dr. May Ann Cordera, Faculty Expert/Assessor also attended the event.
Other MSEUF officials attended the event, Dr. Henedina A. Lagumen, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology; Dr. Divionia J. Glifonea, Dean of the College of Education; Dr. Maricel D. Herrera, Dean of the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management; Dr. Jose B. Tan, Director of the Information Communication and Technology Department; Joana Fe B. Panganiban, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services; Lizaminda R. Regodon, Acting Registrar; and ETEEAP academic staff Rafael Lorenzo D. Saguid and Piolo T. Zapata.
The event was deemed a success, facilitating a productive exchange of knowledge and ideas that will benefit both institutions' ETEEAP programs. Dr. Jennifer B. Reyes, Officer-In-Charge of Special Internationalization Projects, served as the emcee, ensuring the smooth flow of the program.
This benchmarking event symbolizes a step forward in fostering collaborative learning, knowledge-sharing, and academic excellence between MSEUF and TUP, strengthening their roles as leading institutions in higher education.
