EU, Wadhwani Foundation partner to enhance employability

To bolster employability during the SYNERGY: WF Global Philippines Skills Networks Innovation and Collaboration Summit, Enverga University and the Wadhwani Foundation unite at the National University Laguna, May 28, 2024.

Ms. Amormia J. Rosales, Country Lead of the Wadhwani Foundation (WF), delivered an inspiring keynote, where she emphasized the foundation’s mission to offer free, life-changing skilling modules and systems to partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the region.

“What Wadhwani Foundation is offering may seem too good to be true because it is free and life-changing, but indeed it is a gift we intend to share to reduce poverty-stricken Filipinos,” Ms. Rosales remarked.

Ms. Rosales elaborated on the innovative tools available, including GenieAI, also known as My Interview Coach AI, which provides students with feedback on their performance in mock interviews. Ms. Rosales also urged HEIs to contribute their insights and suggestions to enhance the system, underscoring that the modules and GenieAI are designed to be solution-driven programs.

Ms. Candy C. Colona, WF Regional Head, introduced the foundation’s initiatives to the region’s HEIs. She highlighted the success achieved in just a few months where she noted that over 9,000 students have already enrolled in the program, aligning with WF’s goals of creating jobs and changing lives.

The WF system’s comprehensive reporting on compliance, completion, transformation, and placement of students offers HEIs valuable tools to refine their employability and placement programs, promoting a synergistic ecosystem in the region, particularly Region IV-A CALABARZON.

The summit also features testimonials from HEIs that had implemented the WF programs several months earlier. These institutions shared their experiences, encouraging others to fine-tune their rollout strategies.

EU is set to officially forge its partnership with the Wadhwani Foundation later this month, marking a meaningful and important step in enhancing the employability of its students.

Ms. Maria Isabel Granada, Director of the Office of the Scholarship and Endowment, Job Placement, and Alumni Relations (OSEJPAR) together with Ms. Alvina Bolo, Psychometrician from the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), both from MSEUF attended the summit.
