Marking commitment to education and industry collaboration, the Manuel S. Enverga University (MSEUF) and Hytec Power Inc., (HPI) formalized a partnership, held at the HPI Opportunity Lounge, Main Office, Novaliches, Quezon City,  April 2.

Officials from both institutions graced the event where student interns from various schools, colleges, and universities across the country witnessed the ceremony.

President and CEO of Hytec Power Inc., Engr. Eric Jude S. Soliman, and Executive Vice President Engr. Augusto C. Soliman, lead the ceremony on behalf of the HPI. On the other hand, Vice President for External Relations Celso D. Jaballa,  Director Maria Isabel D. Granada of the Office of Scholarship, Job Placements, Alumni Relations, and Endowment, Engr. Cielito Maligalig, dean of the College of Engineering, and Engr. Ariel Nicolas, director of the General Services Department of MSEUFrepresented the MSEUF.

The signing ceremony symbolized the formalization of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the two institutions, outlining areas of cooperation such as on-the-job training/internships for students, faculty industry immersion programs, curriculum enhancement, and development, applied research development, assessment and certification for students and trainers, and faculty development and technology-based training methods.

According to Dir. Granada, the presence of student interns showed a sense of excitement and anticipation for future opportunities.T"hese young minds, representing the future of the workforce, served as a stimulating reminder of the purpose and significance of the partnership between HPI and MSEUF," Dir. Granada remarked.

Engr. Soliman and VP Celso D. Jaballa, both expressed their shared vision for the future before a company tour.

 

Hytec Power Inc. hosts company tour for MSEUF

HPI treated MSEUF to a company tour led by the President Eng. Soliman within the vicinity of their company, where an array of equipment and apparatuses were on display. Technical specialist managers provided detailed explanations and demonstrations of various departments and technologies.

The tour started with a visit to the Welding department, where guests were introduced to the intricacies of welding processes and techniques. The expert manager elaborated on the importance of welding in various industries and highlighted HPI advances in welding technologies.

Attendees also explored the electrical department, where they learned about power generation systems, electrical components, and safety measures. The expert showcased HPI’s innovative electrical solutions and emphasized the company’s commitment to safety and efficiency.

The tour then proceeded to the Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR/Civil Tech department, where visitors gained insights into HVACR systems, building infrastructure, and civil engineering technologies. The expert elucidated the role of HVACR in environmental control and energy efficiency, showcasing HPI’s cutting-edge solutions in this field.
In the ICT (information and Communication Technology) department, the MESUF delegation was introduced to the latest advancements in communication technologies, networking systems, and digital solutions. The manager demonstrated HPI’s state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure and highlighted its applications in various industries.

The Robotics department was a highlight of the tour, with attendees witnessing live demonstrations of robotic systems and automation technologies. The manager showcased HPI’s expertise in robotics engineering and discussed its applications in manufacturing, healthcare, and other sectors including participation in the international robotics competitions.

Lastly, the Electronics department showcased innovative electronic components, circuits, and devices. The manager provided insights into electronic manufacturing processes and demonstrated HPI’s capabilities in developing electronic solutions for diverse applications.

Towards the tour, there was an interactive question and answer session, allowing MSEUF attendees to engage with technical specialists and gain further understanding of HPI’s technologies and capabilities. The tour provided a comprehensive overview of HPI’s diverse expertise and commitment to innovation, leaving the MSEUF delegation impressed and inspired by the company’s advancements in various fields.

After the engaging program of activities, the MSEUF delegation, along with the interns, were treated to a delightful spread of simple snacks. Gathered in a congenial atmosphere, participants had the opportunity to unwind and mingle while enjoying an assortment of refreshments and light bites.

Likewise, the company tour provided an educational opportunity for attendees to learn about advanced technologies and processes in fields such as welding, electrical engineering, HVACR, ICT, robotics, and electronics.

The tour’s focus on HVACR and civil engineering technologies underscores HPI’s role in promoting sustainable urban development and resilient infrastructure. By providing efficient heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration solutions, as well as contributing to the construction of safe and resilient buildings, HPI contributes to SDG 11’s objective of making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
  • Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). The partnership between Hytec Power Inc. and MSEUF exemplifies a cross-sectoral collaboration between the academe and industry to achieve common objectives related to education, innovation, and sustainable development.
