𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙪𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣, still one of the best student publications in Region IV-Calabarzon
The Luzonian, the official collegiate student publication of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF)– Lucena City finished as Top 4 Performing School in Campus Journalism at the Calabarzon Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) 2024, Feb. 20-22, 2024, at the Batis Aramin Hotel and Resort, Lucban, Quezon.
The L bested 28 other private and state universities and colleges across the Calabarzon region, where 32 campus publications competed.
"The Luzonian maintained its fourth rank in this year's RHEPC, even though there was a notable increase in participants. Out of the four schools from Lucena City that participated, only The Luzonian succeeded in securing a place among the top schools,” John Rover Sinag, one of the technical advisers shared.
"I am incredibly proud of our young campus journalists, regardless of whether we received the Top 4 award or not. Their collaborative spirit and unwavering commitment to improvement have been evident throughout. The recognition earned by The Luzonian reflects the collective efforts of its editors and staff," Sinag added.
The L completed the group entries category where they competed for Best Newsletter, Best Literary Folio, Best Magazine, and Best Tabloid. The L garnered the following awards for the group competitions:
