OSAS participate in PGCA Quezon Chapter's 11th Annual Assembly
Enverga University’s guidance counselors and psychometricians from the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) participated in the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (PGCA) Quezon Chapter’s 11th Annual Assembly, with the theme “Safeguarding Education: Bridging the Gaps in Referral Systems in the Mental Health Services for Suicide Prevention” held at Dr. Tobias Y. Enverga Sr. Alumni Center Bldg. Nov. 29.
Rey Marco Casiño, RGC, a guidance counselor from OSAS, led an insightful session on the “RACE Against Suicide.” His presentation focused on recognizing early signs of suicide warnings and the pivotal role individuals play in seeking help, emphasizing the critical importance of suicide prevention.
Outgoing President of PGCA-Quezon Chapter Daizelene Jabrica, RGC, received special recognition for her tireless efforts, unwavering dedication, and innovative initiatives that have left an indelible mark. Special commendation was also extended to Director Joana Fe Panganiban, RGC, who served as the PRO, and Dr. Liandro L. Serrano, RGC, the Assistant Auditor, for their invaluable contributions to the successful conclusion of the event.
Newly elected officers for the term 2023-2025 are April Marquez, RGC, Secretary, while Dr. Liandro L. Serrano, RGC, is Auditor.
In the proactive pursuit of mental health advocacy and education, the insights gained from PGCA assembly will be integrated into MSEUF's ongoing efforts to promote mental health and well-being within the University community.
