For Patrick Ivan Lustado, a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC) graduate with specialization in Digital Animation, Class of 2025, growth has always been part of the journey.

Today, Pat is building a career in the 3D arts industry, earning the trust of his company through precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement. His story reflects what happens when talent meets determination and when learning becomes a lifelong pursuit.

Building Skills Beyond the Classroom

Pat credits Enverga University and the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies (CCMS) for helping him develop the skills that prepared him for professional work in digital animation.

“My years in Enverga shaped my knowledge of 3D arts from basic to intermediate, and they helped me propel my skill set to advanced,” he shared.

Through hands-on projects, technical training, and constructive feedback from professors, he learned that growth comes not only from mastering software but also from embracing criticism and using it as fuel for improvement.

“With the help of my professors, who encouraged me to face any criticism with my work, I strived to further enhance not only technicalities but also creativity,” he said.

Those lessons continue to guide him as he navigates the demands of the animation industry.

Earning Trust Through Excellence

Pat’s dedication to quality has already produced impressive results early in his career.

He earned praise for achieving 90 percent accuracy on deliverables, a reflection of his attention to detail and commitment to excellence. He also completed advanced workshops in modeling, animation, and Unity asset creation, further strengthening his capabilities as a 3D artist.

Today, he is entrusted with increasingly advanced and complex projects.

“The tasks given to me now are advanced and complicated as the company is now trusting me with critical works,” he shared.

For Pat, this trust is one of the most rewarding indicators that his hard work is paying off.

Memories That Last a Lifetime

While Pat has many fond memories of his years at Enverga University, one stands out above the rest.

“Meeting my girlfriend, who will soon be my wife,” he said with a laugh.

Beyond that personal milestone, he treasures every moment he spent as an Envergan.

“All of my four years spent in Enverga are memorable and enjoyable,” he shared.

Among the experiences closest to his heart were the countless hours spent in the EMC laboratory and recording studio, especially during his final year.

“Back when we were fourth years, spending time in the EMC lab, recording studio, and all of the sleepless nights doing our thesis taught me that any deadlines and problems are conquerable.”

Those long nights became valuable lessons in resilience, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities that continue to help him succeed in the professional world.

Driven by Knowledge and Ambition

When asked what inspires him today, Pat gives an answer that is both honest and relatable.

“Salary,” he joked.

But beyond financial goals lies a deeper motivation: the pursuit of mastery.

“The first is the thirst for knowledge. I want to improve my skill sets and myself,” he explained.

Over the years, he has built expertise in a wide range of industry tools and workflows, including Blender, Adobe Substance Painter, ZBrush, Marmoset Toolbag, rigging, modeling, retopology, and weight painting.

“Anything that is in the category of 3D art, I have the knowledge and capability to use it in my work.”

His second motivation is the dream of seeing his name associated with world-class creative projects.

“It’s nice to see your name in the credits of a AAA game or a very well-known anime or movie. I can’t do that if I don’t have the capability, so it motivates me to be better.”

For Pat, every new skill learned is another step closer to that goal.
