Mechanical engineering group welcomes freshmen at general orientation

Helping incoming students begin their engineering journey, the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers–MSEUF Student Unit welcomed new students during the College of Engineering General Orientation 2026 on July 24 at the University Gymnasium.

The organization introduced incoming Mechanical Engineering students to the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program and its academic opportunities, extracurricular activities and student engagement initiatives.

Through an interactive booth, informative discussions, games and engineering-related exhibits, the PSME student unit provided a space where freshmen could learn more about mechanical engineering and the opportunities available within the College of Engineering.

The orientation also allowed students to interact with organization officers and understand how the PSME student unit supports the academic and professional development of future mechanical engineers. Officers facilitated games, with winners receiving prizes such as A3 paper and consumable items.

With 112 members participating, the organization engaged incoming students and helped them gain a better understanding of the academic program and opportunities for involvement. The activity also strengthened connections between freshmen and the organization while encouraging participation in future PSME and College of Engineering programs.

Through student-centered activities and meaningful interactions, the PSME student unit promoted participation, collaboration and growth among the newest members of the Mechanical Engineering community.

The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered and experiential learning by introducing freshmen to academic, professional and organizational opportunities beyond the classroom. It also reflected the core values of Unity and Excellence by fostering collaboration, active participation and professional growth among future engineers.
