From drafts to headlines: The unmatched creativity of Jase Gerald Arquiza
For most students, creativity lives either in sketches or in sentences. But for Jase Gerald Arquiza, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture student from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA), creativity bridges both. He found his rhythm in the studio and his voice in the newsroom—two worlds that may seem different, yet share the same heartbeat of structure, balance, and vision.
Design that Speaks
Jase has a gift for turning order into art. Whether he’s laying out pages for a publication or sketching floor plans, he sees design not just as decoration but as communication.
His sharp eye for detail and sense of structure helped him stand out in student journalism, where precision and layout tell as much of the story as words do. His recent wins are proof of his craft:
🏆 1st Place – Desktop Publishing/Layout, Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference
🏆 1st Place – Desktop Publishing/Layout, Regional Higher Education Press Conference
🥈 2nd Place – News Writing, 25th Word Cup Philippines
These victories are more than medals; they reflect a mindset—one shaped by focus, patience, and a deep respect for the creative process.
Finding Purpose in Community
When asked what makes Enverga University special, Jase doesn’t hesitate. “It’s the people,” he says.
He speaks fondly of mentors who guided him with both discipline and compassion, classmates who encouraged him to go beyond his limits, and colleagues who inspired him to share his work confidently. In every critique, layout, and late-night revision, Jase found a sense of belonging—a creative community that builds, learns, and grows together.
A Message to Aspiring Envergans
“My advice to aspiring Envergans is to stay curious and don’t be afraid to challenge yourself. Embrace every opportunity the university offers inside and outside the classroom, because that’s where you’ll find your purpose and your people. This university gives you more than lessons. It gives you a community that shapes who you become.”
His words echo the Envergan spirit—one that thrives on curiosity, courage, and connection.
Why This Story Matters
Architecture, Jase believes, is not only about buildings—it’s about people. It’s about solving problems with thoughtful design and making spaces that feel human. The same goes for layout and journalism: both require empathy, clarity, and purpose.
Through Jase’s journey, we see how Enverga University shapes students to think beyond the technical. It nurtures storytellers, problem-solvers, and leaders ready to create with meaning and serve with heart.
✨ At Enverga University, every student is given the tools to design, build, and create their own path toward excellence. Like Jase, you can turn your passion into purpose—where curiosity meets opportunity, and creativity finds its voice.
