Services Offered

The Data Protection Office, in collaboration with concerned departments, formulate and implement policies that foster the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data under the University’s control. In line with this, the DPO offer the following services:

Regular conduct of Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) of the data processing systems (DPS) within the University to ensure compliance with R.A. 10173.
Create policies and protocols to safeguard the personal information of MSEUF staff, students, stakeholders, and other involved individuals. Such procedures shall be published in the University’s Data Privacy Manual.
Seminar and trainings of the University personnel and students regarding the promulgations of R.A. 10173 and other relevant topics that cultivate awareness on data privacy.
Ensure the regulation of personal data protection by actively monitoring incident reports submitted by concerned individuals and responding with appropriate actions in accordance with RA 10173.
Act as the liaison of the University vis-a-vis data subjects, the National Privacy Commission (NPC), and other concerned parties, in all matters concerning privacy and data protection.
