WCDEO conducts 'Microsite Micro-Training' for University Departments
To support the full rollout of the new Enverga University website which now features dedicated microsites for each academic and administrative department, the Web Content and Digital Engagement Office (WCDEO) conducted a Series of Micro-Training Workshops on Microsite Management from April 21 to May 30 at various offices of the University.
The training series empowered over 100 participants composed of department clerks, student assistants, and faculty members to navigate, update, and maintain their respective microsites independently.
The sessions featured guided encoding and real-time uploading of department-specific content to ensure hands-on familiarity with the platform.
“This training is part of our effort to decentralize content management while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability in how each department presents itself online,” said John Rover R. Sinag, Web Content and Digital Engagement Officer.
“Now that the departments have direct access, we expect faster content updates and better visibility of each unit’s programs, announcements, and accomplishments.” Sinag added.
Participants appreciated the focused format of the workshop, which allowed them to apply what they learned immediately to their own pages. Each session was conducted in small groups to accommodate individual concerns and provide step-by-step assistance.
This initiative contributes to strengthening digital literacy among employees and advancing the University’s goals of improving public engagement, institutional transparency, and readiness for international visibility, including participation in global rankings.
