Area of Research
Abstract
The research is concerned with identifying the problems met by the BSBA
students during the practicum program of Manuel S. Enverga University as basis
of enhancing the OJT manual for the College of Business and Accountancy.
This study applied descriptive method of research wherein survey questionnaires
were used. Two hundred thirteen (213) students from school year 2014-2015 to
2016-2017, as well as students who are currently enrolled in the practicum
program school year 2017-2018 served as respondents. Descriptive statistics
such as frequency and weighted mean were used in the statistical analysis. The
analysis of results reveals that the trainees have encountered a minimal problem
in terms of the program of work and the relation of task assigned. In addition, the
students have difficulty in managing their time between on-the-job training and
the curricular activities. However, the student trainees achieved a meaningful
learning process and a satisfying outcome wherein they have acquired the
necessary skills and knowledge that will help them in their future career as
successful business professionals. Moreover, a revised manual must be
developed to guide the training of the BSBA students of College of Business and
Accountancy.
