Abstract

This study focused on measuring the level of effectiveness of recruitment and selection strategy use by Software Companies. It employed the descriptive research design specifically survey method wherein researchers made questionnaires that were distributed. The locale of the study was the Software Companies in Lucena City specifically the RG-RR Web Maker and Open IT, who acted as the respondents. Frequency and weighted mean were used in the statistical analysis and statistical instruments to gather data using excel software. Based on the result of the findings, there is a unique recruitment and selection strategies in each company. Analysis of the results reveals that Open IT builds a pool of candidate from different sources of recruitment and job postings while RG-RR Web Maker has a specific and limited source. In addition, both respondents have a different form of organization in which the process of recruitment and selection were base from the size of the Company. Open IT has a bigger number of employees than RG-RR in which the strategy that Open IT uses weren’t necessary and applicable to RG-RR Web Maker. The Recruitment and Selection Strategy by Open IT and RG-RR Web Maker has different perspective according to the recruitment and selection and the most striking among all it has a special level of effectiveness.
