DIVERSITY OF EMPLOYEES AND ITS IMPACT TO WORK PERFORMANCE

Abstract
This study is conducted to explore how medical center manage diversity of employees and its impact to work performance. The main objective of this study wants to determine the demographic profile of respondents, the effect of diversity of employees to work performance and the factors affecting diversity of employees. Employee’s diversity refers to the variety of differences between people in a medical center in terms of gender, age, status of employment, educational attainment, and years of work experience, religion and marital status.
To gather the required data for this research, the researcher prepared a questionnaire in order to seek an answer to this study and used the descriptive survey method in gathering information. Through this method the questionnaire were distributed to the respondents for the purpose of gathering data necessary to the study.
The findings showed that employees in Claims and Benefit Section in a government office usually belongs to the age bracket of 21 to 50 years old, most of them are female which is equivalent to 85 percent of respondent, has a work experience of 5 to 10 years, catholic, married and the highest educational attainment with masters unit. Mostly the effect of diversity of employees to work performance is they felt equally treated so that they do all task efficiently. The religion and attitude of respondents are the factors affecting its work performance.
The researcher recommendation is important to learn how to adapt and respect everyone’s differences and to value other inputs. For the next researcher, it is recommended to conduct the same field of study to take other view and perspectives employees work performance and for the future employees. The research study indicates with the help of the respondent that they are mostly equally treated despite of diverse work environment.
