INVOICE SUBMISSION PLATFORM: BENEFITS, CHALLENGES AND FUTURE STRATEGIES FOR LEASEPLAN AND SUPPLIERS
Abstract
Invoice Submission Platform (ISP) is a system or application that enables supplier to submit invoices. It will provide a web-based platform that allows electronic invoice submission, invoice and payment, status inquiries, payment disputes, vendor on- boarding and dispatch of POs/ RFQs in a streamlined, time-efficient vendor self-service environment. This study was conducted from October to May of the year 2018. All information were gathered from the fifty-nine (59) respondents out of the 118 active suppliers of LeasePlan Emirates. The questionnaire was divided into 3 parts, first is to determine the profile of the respondents, second is to determine the level of awareness of respondent’s data to adopt an Electronic Invoicing, last is to find out the challenges that companies have in adopting Invoice Submission Platform. The methodology used in this study is descriptive in nature using specifically quantitative approaches aided by survey questionnaire using SurveyMonkey.com. The researcher recommends LeasePlan Emirates to conduct training to suppliers to introduce Invoice Submission Platform and benefits and adopting the system. Strengthening of Information Dissemination and Deep Dive discussions regarding the ISP adoption of Supplier and digital transformation of Invoice submission. Further Research and study on data security and privacy during the Integration of ISP to LeasePlan Emirates Internal system discussion.
