Abstract

This study analyzed and explored on how an old local product has been in the market throughout the years even though numbers of well-established competitors keep on increasing due to consumer’s demand. Mixed methods of data collection were used to gather information needed in this research. Perla was a product used by different generations. It has been studied to understand how the product before was and how it has been in the market for a long time. Based on the findings, Perla laundry detergent has become an all-time soap of most Filipinos, The product had given a good impression for people who found organic laundry detergent better than using chemical-based detergent soaps. Consumers still use Perla for some reasons because they like how it is gentle to the skin. But since the world keeps on modernizing, innovation of the product should be considered for it to attract more consumers and give the product a new face in the market. Developing new kinds of variety would help to re-introduce the product.
