Design of Seaport at Guis-guis Sariaya, Quezon

Abstract
Studies have shown that having ports could be a great help in imports and exports of people and products and can reduce land traffic volume. Ports have played an important role concerning country to international-wide tourism and trade. Traffic volume is one of the major problem that the community have faced due to congestion and development, some of the traffic congestion exists on land and highway transportation which deliver cargoes for commercial, industrial, domestic uses, both with import and export purposes. It is the reason why the researchers came up with this study, to somehow aid the
situation by designing a seaport, opening an alternative not only in transporting people, but also in transporting goods and cargoes.as well as to help the Sariaya municipality to lessen the traffic caused by the heavy loaded vehicles. The focus of this research is the designing of a seaport along the shore side of Guis-Guis, Quezon that would be a great opportunity for the people living nearby and also for the economic growth of Sariaya. The design will be based on the Philippine Port Authority standards and different codes and specifications. With this, the researchers highly recommend the implementation and construction of the Design of Seaport at Guis-guis, Sariaya, Quezon.
