DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF MULTIMEDIA-BASED MODULE: EXPERIENTIAL APPROACH

Abstract
The study aimed to develop Multimedia-Based Module: Experiential Approach.
The study employed applied research because it sought to find out how experiential
language learning may be facilitated with the use of multimedia-based materials. The
study utilized five experts and 250 college freshmen students. The statistical tools used
consisted of weighted mean, mean percentage scores (MPS), and t-test.
Based on the results of the study, the objectives, topics, activities, use of
multimedia, and evaluation were very much valid. It was also found out that the format,
content, sequence/organization, relevance to 21st century learners, and usability were
highly acceptable that students found the material easy to comprehend and easy to use.
After using the module, students advanced from low performing to average performing
and high performing.
In line with the findings of the study, it is recommended that multimedia-based
modules be used to facilitate experiential language learning; that multimedia-based
modules be used as instructional tools to meet learning objectives; and that curriculum
developers must continuously conduct related researches to maximize the use of
multimedia in learning English.
