HOME VISITATION PRACTICES OF KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS OF LUCENA EAST DISTRICT, LUCENA CITY: A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY

Abstract
Home visitation is done by classroom teachers as part of the effort to build
parent-teacher-child relationships. The current study focuses on home visitation
practices of kindergarten teachers of Lucena East District, Lucena City and
problems encountered in the conduct of home visitation. The study intends to find
out the home visitation practices of kindergarten teachers of Lucena East District
in terms of purpose, activities, and problems encountered. The respondents of
the study were the kindergarten teachers of Lucena East District. A descriptive
quantitative type of research was utilized in the study. The study concluded that
the respondents agreed on the Home Visitation Practices of Kindergarten
Teachers of Lucena East District. This indicated that home visitations practices
are done to address absenteeism in the schools; to help parents create a safe,
stimulating home environment; and to give children a healthy start in life.
